Gender roles in the poetry of Minа Loy

Abstract

The article analyzes poetry of the British writer Mina Loy in the context of gender roles in society. The specifics of the author's interest in gender identity issues have been clarified, various experimental poetic techniques and their influence on the formation of complex and contradictory statements regarding women's identity are determined. The British poet expressed her protest about the restrictions that women had in the twentieth century. Loy also studied the image of a woman, her inner world and aspiration for higher ideals. Her works reflect the importance of issues of equality between women and men in society and are an important contribution to the development of feminist literature.
