РОЛЬ ПРИСЛІВ'ЇВ У ФОРМУВАННІ НАЦІОНАЛЬНОЇ ІДЕНТИЧНОСТІ

Abstract

This paper analyses the role of proverbs in shaping national identity and reflecting the cultural characteristics of different nations. Taking into account the importance of proverbs as bearers of mentality and social norms, the article draws attention to the relationship between language and culture through the prism of paremiology. The main purpose of the paper is to identify universal and unique features of proverbs that form the specificity of the national worldview. The article is based on examples from different languages and cultural traditions, which allows comparing the influence of natural conditions, historical development and social norms on the formation of linguistic expressions. The paper outlines the contribution to linguocultural studies, discusses the impact of proverbs on intercultural communication and suggests promising areas for further research.
