Today, the media play a dominant role in shaping public opinion, and anthroponyms (proper names) are becoming an increasingly important tool for creating images and identities. This article explores the origins and use of French anthroponyms in contemporary media, focusing on their functions, meaning and impact on the public. The study is based on the analysis of various media texts such as articles, television programmes and social media. Using the methods of content analysis and discourse analysis, it explores how French anthroponyms are used to create images of people.
